This is an excerpt of an email from Bob Taylor of Northwestern (via the New Media Constortium's discussion list):

The emerging effort at YouTube to form partnerships for university presence in YouTube is being led by Obadiah Greenberg, formerly of UC-Berkeley. Obie managed the webcast services for the Berkeley campus, before moving to Google.

Obie mentioned to me this week that he would be happy to hear from other universities that are interested in developing the type of video presence on YouTube that you now see with UC Berkeley and with USC (http://www.youtube.com/usc). Creating a content hosting agreement for your university with YouTube will require a chunk of time from your university's General Counsel Office (lawyers)---but the content hosting arrangement is a fair and (somewhat) flexible agreement, I think.

Obie can be reached at: obie@google.com

Who made the Disney vid? Was it an IML thing or something from another university? It's a great presentation...graphics and clips must have taken ages to put together. And, even though I adore Disney, it's great to see films like this. It makes a compelling arguement.

(Actually, in 101 Lex, Darcy, and I did something very similar...using Disney clips in a montage to create a message about Disney's narrow-minded representation of women. Even used the Disney logo, storybook opening and all :) Ahh...memories.)
